Pregis Europe receives Silver Medal rating from EcoVadis in recognition of the corporate social responsibility practices.
Pregis Europe has been awarded a Silver Medal rating from EcoVadis in recognition of the corporate social responsibility practices. The Silver medal means that Pregis scores in the top 25% globally of all companies evaluated.
EcoVadis is one of the world’s largest providers of business sustainability ratings, assessing every year 75,000 companies in over 160 countries. They assess CSR policies, actions, and results across several criteria, including the environment, labour, human rights, ethics, as well as sustainable procurement.
This latest environmental accreditation is just one more example of Pregis’ efforts to contribute to a sustainable future.
“Our production facilities in Stevenage in the UK, Heerlen and Born in the Netherlands and Herbrechtingen in Germany are ISO 14001 certified. This demonstrates that Pregis Europe is managing its environmental responsibilities in a systematic manner,” said Pieter van Dongen Torman, commercial director, Pregis Europe.
“Packaging provides a unique platform to drive change. By exploring new technologies, we are working towards creating packaging solutions that are carbon neutral and follow the principles of the circular economy,” van Dongen Torman said.
As a signatory of The Climate Pledge, Pregis’ goal is to be carbon neutral by 2040. Additionally, the company’s 2030 initiative includes real, measurable goals that contribute to protecting and preserving the planet for generations to come.
