The blend is always 100%, consisting of certified components: a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content, claim verified by PolyCert, and at least 20% renewable waste certified through the ISCC mass balance approach. The exact proportions of PCR and renewable waste may vary based on input availability, but together they always make up the full blend. These details are documented on the invoice and shipping documents.

Renew Zero air cushions achieve ZERO carbon emissions through a 100% recycled and renewable material blend, including a minimum of 20% renewable plant waste, known as second-generation bio sources. These materials naturally absorb CO₂, offsetting emissions. The negative CO₂ impact from the bio source balances the minimal emissions from post-consumer recycled (PCR) content, ensuring ZERO carbon output from cradle to gate.

How We Achieve CO₂ Neutrality

  1. Scope & Methodology
    Our air cushions are CO₂-neutral cradle-to-gate, calculated according to ISO 14040-44 standards using a methodology developed with Emitwise.
  2. What Does CO₂-Neutral Mean?
    The total carbon footprint from raw material extraction to the factory gate is 0 kg CO₂ eq.
    This is achieved through:
      • Use of biogenic raw materials (plant-based waste) that absorb CO₂ during growth.
      • Process optimization to minimize emissions.
      • No external carbon offsetting was used.
  3. Why Cradle-to-Gate?
      • This scope covers all steps from raw material sourcing to the factory gate.
      • End-of-life is excluded because it depends on local recycling practices.

Renew Zero: Sustainable by Design

Made from a 100% certified recycled and renewable material blend entirely composed of post-consumer recycled (PCR) content and renewable waste, eliminating the use of virgin fossil-based plastic. Blend percentages vary, but each blend contains a minimum of 30% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content and at least 20% renewable waste. These air cushions are recyclable through local existing recycling streams . PCR waste—such as plastic bags, bottles, and packaging—has completed its life cycle as consumer material before it's recycled into new air pillows. Post-consumer recycled content keeps materials in use that have completed their lifecycle, closing the recyclability loop while reducing consumer-landfill waste.

Certified & Validated

Renew air cushions meet rigorous sustainability standards through independent certifications. The post-consumer recycled (PCR) content claims are PolyCert certified, verifying their compliance with ISO 14021 sustainability guidelines from sourcing to production. The bio-based materials are certified by ISCC PLUS via mass balance approach, ensuring traceability within the ISCC custody chain. Additionally, an internal life cycle assessment confirms that Renew air cushions are 100% CO₂ neutral from cradle to gate.*
